About the Tangalooma Wrecks

The Tangalooma Wrecks are a collection of 15 ships deliberately sunk just off Moreton Island in the 1960s and 1970s to create a safe anchorage for boats. Over time, these wrecks have become a thriving artificial reef, attracting colourful fish, coral, turtles, and even dolphins. The calm waters make it a perfect spot to swim and take in the incredible marine environment from the surface.
